Online divorce pricing — joint $1,200, sole $1,500 + court fee
One fixed professional fee, shown upfront. The court fee is paid to the Court on filing. Extras are fixed fees that apply only if your situation needs them - and you see every amount before you pay.
You'll see our costs disclosure and agreement before any payment when you apply for divorce online.

- Lawyer-checked, every time
- Most applications do not require an online court hearing
- Fixed price, no hourly bills
- Re-file guarantee
- Track every step online
Three ways to apply — and what each really costs
Every divorce pays the same court filing fee. What differs is who does the work, and who fixes it if something goes wrong.
Do it yourself
$1,170
or $390 with a concession card. You pay only the court filing fee.
What you get
- Cheapest option — your only cost is the court fee
- You lodge it yourself through the Commonwealth Courts Portal
Good to know
- You draft, serve (on a sole application) and file everything yourself
- If the registry requisitions the application, you fix it yourself — and you lose your place in the filing queue while you do

Good to know

- We arrange service on your ex
- Overseas service or a substituted-service application is a fixed fee, confirmed with you first if needed

What is included
An application through this service includes: the eligibility and jurisdiction check, lawyer review and drafting, electronic signing, filing with the Court and payment of the court fee, a short video call to verify your identity and approve the draft, your dashboard tracking, and phone and email support without per-call charges. On a sole application we also arrange service on your ex and file proof with the Court.
In short: we do the legal work, and you do a 15-minute video call. You are not paying per email or per phone call, and you are not doing the drafting.
Extras - fixed fees, only if your situation needs them
Each of these is a fixed fee including GST, charged only if it applies to you, and only after we have told you in writing which one applies. Anything paid to a third party (registry fee, translator, overseas process server or postage) is charged at cost on top and we tell you the amount first.

How trust money works
- • Your payment is held in the law firm's trust account until it is due.
- • The court fee is paid to the Court on filing.
- • We issue you with an invoice for the work and we pay it from trust funds.
Refunds
- • If your initial eligibility check shows you cannot proceed, we refund in full.
- • Unearned trust money is returned to your nominated bank account on written request — never through a card platform.
- • Once the court fee is paid on filing it is non-refundable (the Court keeps it).
It's all in your costs disclosure and costs agreement before you pay.
What your fixed fee covers
- • Emails and phone calls with us about your application.
- • Our lawyer attending the first hearing of your application if the Court requires an appearance (any later hearing is quoted in writing first).
- • On a sole application, arranging service on your ex, including one round of up to three attempts by a process server.
If your ex isn't served in that first round, is outside Australia or can't be found, the fixed-fee extras above apply, and anything paid to a third party (such as an overseas process server or postage) is charged at cost. We tell you in writing which applies, and the amount, before any of it is charged.
