The family lawyers behind Online Divorce by Freemont Family Lawyers
Freemont Family Lawyers is a family law firm based in Melbourne. Online Divorce by Freemont Family Lawyers is our fixed-fee, online divorce service. The idea is simple: a divorce application is, for most people, a predictable piece of legal work — so it should have a predictable price, be checked by a real lawyer, and be done entirely online from your phone or laptop.
We built it because too many people paid too much for a simple divorce, or paid too little to someone who wasn't a lawyer and had the application sent back. So we put real family lawyers behind a simple online process: you answer the questions, we do the legal work, and the price is shown upfront.
Our liability is limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation.
Two minutes · no obligation · a lawyer confirms everything before anything is filed
Our offices
We deliver your divorce online, but we are a real firm with real premises.
- Melbourne CBD — Level 19, 180 Lonsdale Street
- St Kilda — 117/566 St Kilda Road
- Dandenong — Level 10, 14 Mason Street
- Pakenham — 1 Cook Drive
Divorce applications are handled entirely online — you do not need to visit an office. Property and parenting matters are handled through Freemont Family Lawyers.
What “limited scope” means
This is a limited-scope service: we agree to do one defined piece of legal work — your divorce application — and you know exactly what is and isn't included before you start. That is what makes a fixed price possible. You get a real lawyer for the legal work that matters, without paying a firm to do everything around it.
It is set out plainly in your costs agreement: the eligibility and jurisdiction check, the drafting, the video call to verify and sign, the filing, and the service of the application on a sole application. If something falls outside that scope, we tell you before you pay more.
What we will not do
We are clear about the boundary. Through this service we do undefended divorce applications — we do not conduct contested parenting or property matters here. If your ex files a Response opposing the divorce, or you want to deal with property settlement or parenting orders, that is different work and we will point you to the right help rather than charge you for something this service doesn't cover.
Not sure where to start? See how it works, compare a joint application with a sole application, or check your eligibility now - it takes two minutes.
